Beer drinkers and brewing enthusiasts across Florida’s Panhandle are seeing their dream of a local brewery come one step closer to being realized.

After nearly 11 months of construction, Grayton Beer Company received nine stainless steel fermentation tanks last week at its new South Walton brewery located on Highway 98. Each 18-foot tank holds 22,000 pints of beer and, together, offer Grayton Beer Company the capacity to brew up to 150,000 bottles of beer at a time.

In addition to the new fermentation tanks, additional vessels will arrive to store and manage the hot and cold water needed to produce high quality craft beer as well as a grist case to hold the grain to be added during the brewing process.
“We have been looking forward to this day for some time now.We are starting to see our dream of an independent craft brewery emerging here in South Walton.”” said Jamey Price, Grayton Beer Company’s President and Founder.

Grayton Beer plans to launch five new beers in the coming weeks.

The new craft beers will be available in both bottle and draft in restaurants and bars from Pensacola to Apalachicola.

“Working with a great team of brewers and the finest available ingredients, this high quality brewing equipment will allow us to make beers that drinkers along the coast will truly appreciate. Craft beer is growing across America, and now, in the heart of our community, Northwest Floridians have a brewery to be proud of.” said  Shank, the Head Brewer.
