The Pearl at Rosemary Beach, a luxury hotel and resort boasting a restaurant, lounge, and cabanas, has chosen art photography exclusively by artist and award winning photographer, Tommy Crow.
The Pearl, a 55-room hotel features most rooms with a private balcony; in-room spa treatments; a Keurig coffee and tea brewing machine; and complimentary overnight valet parking. The tech-savvy hotel also offers iPads in each room for guests to book dinner reservations or room service, in addition to an Apple TV and high-speed WiFi.
Meanwhile, at the Havana Beach restaurant, flavors from the Gulf of Mexico will be incorporated into the menu’s dishes, which also uses produce, meat and fish from local businesses. Guests at the resort can also take advantage of the amenities, such as the rooftop lounge and pool area with private cabanas.
Management plans to hire from eighty to one hundred people for positions in the hotel, restaurant, bar and more, and the staff will work year round on a career path with the hotel. The Pearl is all about taking associates, employees and understanding what their career is, and helping develop their skill set.
The Pearl will add economic value to an already thriving community and has gone to great lengths to make sure that it blends into the community of Rosemary Beach. They want guests to feel like they have been on site since inception.
The intriguing photographs and images of sought-after Georgia native artist, Tommy Crow, will be showcased at North Florida’s newest luxury hotel on Hwy-30A.
Crow’s artwork, photography, and multi-media art films, create a feast for the eyes as well as the soul. Curated by Crow, many of the images and photographs were created specifically for The Pearl. The selections include art photography from Crow’s new “Splendor Revisited”collection, a photography series shot in Havana, Cuba during March 2013. Other images include Crow’s “Wind, Air, Earth, Fire” as well as other limited edition pieces from Crow’s “Flight” series. Working with Atlanta videographer Nate Dorn, Crow further extends his creative vision with art films playing throughout the hotel.
“What excites me about this project is the true artfulness of the hotel, inside and out,” said Crow. “The owners are incredibly forward thinking and really wanted to create something new and unique. Visually, texturally, with new technologies, really in every way possible. The Pearl, without a doubt, is all of those things and will become a merrily rolling bucket of energy, activity, and intelligence. It’s exciting to be a part of it.”

The hotel is designed in a spirit of sophisticated casual luxury with dark rich wood, venetian plaster walls, and polished stone floors to create a classic yet contemporary feel. Crow’s Cuban photographs are colorful, rich in details and vibrance. The wall-size, art photography pieces were chosen to match the hotel’s spirit, and feature photographs of the old cars driving around Havana, art deco architecture, and individual portraits of local Havanans embodying the spirit of the Cuban people.
“Back in the ‘50s, my father would fly to Havana from Georgia for three-day weekends with his friends,” said Crow. “While my wife and I were recently in Cuba, we passed by some of his old haunts. The Pearl’s new Havana Beach Bar & Grill has a very similar feel to those hotels.”
